Nora J. Cain, director of the Stanford Health Library has made it possible for all Jr. Medical School teachers, students, and parents to have access to the Stanford Health Library. The Stanford Health Library's mission is to provide scientifically based medical information and health education that helps individuals and families make informed decisions about their health and health care. When Jr. Medical Students want to know more information they now have the resources. Jr. Medical School students need to contact Dr. Bob to learn about custom research packets.
The Health Library on the Internet
This virtual branch of Stanford Health Library has over 10,000 reviewed links to scientifically based medical information on the Internet and over 850 full test health and medical books available for use from home. The Health Library's streaming video collection includes over 40 videos of Stanford doctors and researchers talking on important health topics including Cancer Supportive Care.
The new Jr. Medical School Toolkit is now available for both Macintosh and PC computers. This updated program is designed to take full advantage of the Stanford health Library text, and steaming videos. Contact Dr. Bob to receive additional information about creative Jr. Medical School projects that will earn points towards graduation.

Science on The Radio
500 Points
A good way to earn points is to read and the write a health and science report that you can read on the radio. This is a great way to pick up 500 points and to move to the top of your class ranking. We need Jr. Doctors that can help other through talking about science on the radio. You can pick any area of science that you have a passion for. We are looking for topics in health and science that you are very excited about learning. Getting your paper ready for the radio is a fantastic way to demonstrate how much you are learning at Jr. Medical School.
How do I create my first radio show?
We will train you how to do a station opener and closer for Kid's Talk Radio. Your instructors will help you with your short essay for radio. You will have to practice your oral reading before you record your radio station spot. We you have a smooth style of reading your article we will send you our special software that will turn your computer into a fantastic recording studio.You can record your broadcast at home and then send it to Kid's Talk Radio for the Jr. Medical School Science Show. New research shows that this practice doesn't help prevent deaths from breast cancer.
Europe's space agency reached two milestones earlier this year. A European-built lab was installed at the International Space Station, and Europe launched a robotic cargo vehicle that successfully docked with the station. The European Space Agency is thinking about converting the vehicle so it could take astronauts into orbit.
The FBI has revealed new details about the scientific findings that led them to suspect Army scientist Bruce Ivins was responsible for the 2001 anthrax mailings that killed five people. Ivins committed suicide last month. The case against Ivins rests in part on a complex genetic technique.
The newest craze in consumer health is adhesive pads filled with "detox" herbs that supposedly suck toxins out of the bottom of our feet while we sleep. An analysis at a California laboratory shows no significant difference between used and unused pads.
Within the century, afternoon highs may reach temperatures that today are found only in the world's hottest deserts, says a new study. Those least able to deal with the increase in extreme heat waves — the world's poor — will be hit the hardest.
